15.7. Music for Shô and Ensemble
→Eri Ito, player of the traditional mouth-organ Shô will visit Berlin and Cologne, and we will present a concert around her fascinating instrument, juxtaposing traditional gagaku repertoire with contemporary music by Toshio Hosokawa, Daniel Verasson and me.
Eri Ito (shô), Carl Rosman (clarinet), Axel Lindner (violin / viola), Annegret Mayer-Lindenberg (viola / viola d'amore), Rie Watanabe (percussion) - and me on my microtonal reed-organ.

6:30 p.m. there will be an evensong (about 30 minutes) which we will be part of, concert starts at 7:15 p.m.

16.11.2025 - Windrosen und Gläserspiel
Concert with music by Mauricio Kagel and me. Notabu Ensemble Düsseldorf, Frederike Möller. The venue is "Sammlung Philara" in Düsseldorf, a former manufacture of glasses. So I will bring musical glasses and we will play my "Musik für Trio Basso, Gläserspiel und mikrotonales Harmonium", and a new work for organ and ensemble commissioned by the IDO festival.

29.11.2025 - Requiem für eine marode Brücke
New piece of music theatre by Anna-Sophie Mahler and Viola Köster with participation of Experimentalchor alte Stimmen and Domchor Koeln, actors of Schauspiel Koeln, under the musical direction of Michael Wilhelmi and me.
We talk to people from the construction industry and urban development, with economists, futurologists and activists about the existing plans for a futureproof Cologne – and about the resistance they encounter. And from the quotations they have provided, a music theatre work is created by Cologne residents for Cologne, a vocal concert for three actors, two Cologne choirs and a city of the future.
